Metro-Vancouver: Cycling Training for the School Community

Cycling Training for the School Community is a professional development workshop for teachers and school staff who have considered cycling to school but lack the confidence or skills to commute by bike.

Cycling Training for the School Community is a three-step professional development program for teachers, school staff and students. The program offers a combination of Step 1: biker's breakfast; Step 2: a commuter cycling skills course; and Step 3: bike-ed seminar. The objective is to provide teachers and school staff with bicycle safety training and educational tools in order to increase the number of teachers commuting by bicycle to school and to better include cycling in the classroom curriculm.
