Green Bricks

The Green Bricks Education Society is pleased to offer an exciting green building design program, called Green Bricks. Piloted during the 2007/08 school year and now ready for offer to BC schools during the 2008/09 school year, Green Bricks engages secondary school students to understand the importance and benefits of sustainable building issues in their schools and communities.

Green Bricks will allow students to search for practical solutions for green building design and maintenance, while providing the skills to work towards a more sustainable future.

There are 3 components to the Green Bricks program:

• an interactive classroom presentation (75 minutes) OR the regional kit for schools outside the Lower Mainland;
• a PLO-linked learning resource; and
• the exciting Green Bricks Student Challenge.
