Vision
To inspire and empower people and their communities to understand and care for the natural world through environmental education.
Goals
What we do…
We offer a variety of high-quality and engaging, hands-on, professional development environmental education workshops and programs for educators of all sorts: Teachers, Camp Counselors, Community Leaders, Naturalists, Guides, Park Rangers, and Youth Educators. With each workshop, our experienced facilitators will lead you through hands-on activities and provide you with resources that are current and easy to use. We provide you the training and tools you need to be able to offer stimulating nature-based learning to your audience. In addition many of our resources are available for purchase or for download.
Also available for schools is one of our newest programs , Science in Action. Science in Action builds upon the existing resources and workshop experience by providing an opportunity for K-8 schools to select from 3 themes: ecosystems, climate change and water to expand the professional development opportunity found in WildBC’s historical workshops. This program is available to schools by application only (March) and includes free aschool workshop(s), school resources , facilitator support and funds toward an outdoor field trips.
