HSBC Clean Air Achievers

Inspiring Youth to Get Active for the Environment, a curriculum based program involving Canada’s top athletes. The Clean Air Achievers program (CAA) focuses on motivating youth to apply lessons learned in-class - related to air quality, climate change, health and transportation - to personal, community and environmental challenges.

The goal of i-go is to encourage all of us who live in the Central Okanagan to get active, be healthy, and protect the region we love by incorporating active transportation into our daily routines. By walking, cycling, running, in-line skating, riding transit, or carpooling as a means to get to our most frequent destinations, we will be less reliant on our automobiles and the resulting benefits of better health, cleaner air, plus a healthier environment and community, will improve everybody’s quality of life.

Part of the mission of the Bike Safety, Education and Maintenance department at LifeCycle is to increase the use of bicycles for everyday activity, by teaching those new to the art of cycling the fundamentals of bike safety and maintenance.

We believe that bicycles and pedal driven technology are a key component to both reducing our negative environmental impact on the planet, and to improving the quality of life for people locally and globally.

SCCBC believe in the power of everyone to Take Action - and to appreciate the many values and beliefs surrounding environmental issues and perspectives. Our goal is to bring that empowerment in a fun, engaging, and credible way to students and teachers across British Columbia.

Wild BC

Our Climate Change Program targets Grades 4, 7, 10 & 11 students with engaging and fun activities exploring the science, impacts, adaptation and actions related to climate change. We provide teachers with free, downloadable curriculum-linked lessons as well as a deeper understanding of the science behind climate change available through these resources as well as our training workshops and programs.
